Its not clear if the gun needs to hit an enemy to be counted towards increasing stats, the first bullet points states you must hit someone and the next two bullet points say you can just have normalized gun firing with no talk of hitting something.

I think Platinum Bullets might also improve bullet modifiers. The one time I've gotten them, I got Irradiated Lead one chamber later, and EVERY bullet I fired was poisonous. It wasn't a synergy either.--71.56.148.29 09:32, 3 April 2020 (UTC)

How does it increase rate and damage?[edit source]

Its not clear if the gun needs to hit an enemy to be counted towards increasing stats, the first bullet points states you must hit someone and the next two bullet points say you can just have normalized gun firing with no talk of hitting something.

I suppose both could work or one or the other, but its not very clear.
