This is a reference to a real life M61 Vulcan. Gatling Gull itself would be a reference to Vulcan Raven.
I think that the "bird" reference is probably more likely to reference the use of the real M61 Vulcan on the Strike Eagle fighter jet (among others) 67.184.86.59 03:55, 27 November 2018 (UTC)
