Fearful Symmetry | |||||||||||||||
Ascendant Blobulons who have achieved flight. The force of their slam attack violently expels ammunition they store in their gelatinous body.
The Blobulonian military is nothing if not practical. By forming their bodies into cubes, Cubulons were able to more efficiently pack themselves into troop transports on their campaigns of conquest.
Cubulons slowly float towards the player, frequently firing bullets in all directions in a diamond shape. While preparing an attack, they are immune to knockback. Despite their ability to fly, they can take damage from flaming oil on the ground.
When Cubulons attack, they also create a small puddle of red creep similar to Blobulons. This creep does not harm the player or other enemies in any way, but will wash away any existing creep below.
Notes[ | ]
- Cubulons are often paired with either Muzzle Wisps or another Cubulon.

Magnetic Death | |||||||||||||||
Immune to damage when hardened.
Cubulons that remain in cubic form for too long eventually harden, unable to return to their original blobby shape. Cubuleads have embraced this fate, and can magnetize their steely bodies to recall their projectiles.
Cubuleads behave like regular Cubulons, but will attract their bullets back towards themselves after they travel a certain distance. These bullets pause in place for a few seconds before returning back, making them dangerous due to their lingering nature. Upon death, they leave a small square puddle of fire. Unlike most non-boss enemies, Cubulead bullets sometimes disappear when the Cubulead is killed. This enemy can be particularly deadly when paired with the Cubulon. Cubuleads never “harden” or become “immune to damage” despite the Ammonicon saying otherwise.

Blobserker | |||||||||||||||
Chancebulons are the berserker class of the Blobulonian imperial shock troops.
Known for erratic, violent attack patterns, those who chanced upon a Chancebulon were rarely heard from again.
Chancebulons slowly float towards the player. They occasionally pause to either fire bullets in a rotating dice formation, or fire the attacks of a random Blobulon enemy, consisting of the following:
- 3-4 Blobulon-shaped bullets that ricochet off the room's walls, as seen in the battle against Blobulord.
- As above, but the Blobulon bullets leave poison goop in their wake, seemingly emulating Poisbulons.
- As above, but the Blobulon bullets leave trails of fire, seemingly emulating Leadbulons.
- The diamond-shaped bullet spread of a Cubulon.
- The expanding and retracting diamond-shaped bullet spread of a Cubulead.
- The spray of spiraling bullets of a Poopulon.
- The arrangement of bullets in the shape of a Blobulon, as used by Blobulord.
- The ring, then spread shots of a Blizzbulon.
- The random spray of bullets as seen when a Bloodbulon is killed.
On occasion, they will turn gold, at which point they will fire the Poisbulon, Leadbulon, and Blizzbulon attacks all at once. They also have a small chance to die instantly when they attempt to attack, spinning out and crying as they do. They are immune to fire and poison damage.
Notes[ | ]
- Fitting in with the 'chance' theme, Chancebulons also have a chance to replace certain Blobulon enemies, usually Cubulons.
- Stunning a Chancebulon during their self-destruction will cancel it, and it will continue attacking.
Trivia[ | ]
- Like Daisuke, Chancebulons are based on a D20, a twenty-sided die commonly used in tabletop RPGs such as Dungeons and Dragons. The random nature of their attacks could be attributed to them rolling a D20 for a table of effects, with different ranges of results producing different attacks.
- Their rare multi-attack could be a result of the Chancebulon rolling a 20 for their effects table, the highest possible roll and traditionally considered a critical success. Likewise, their chance to instantly die could be a result of the Chancebulon rolling a 1, the lowest possible roll and traditionally considered a critical failure.
Trivia[ | ]
- Cubulons are one of two enemies that have a track from the game's soundtrack named after them ("Die Cubulon Die"), the other being the Beholster ("The Beholster Don't Blink").
